Friendship Adult Day Center (ADC) is a social model adult day program. The purpose of Friendship Adult Day Center ADC is primarily to provide respite for caregivers of seniors and dependent adults and improve the quality of life for participants. Experience has shown that participants of ADC as well as their families, benefit from the activities and social exchange that ADC provides. Participants often sleep and eat better, develop a more positive state of mind, and their communication, and motor skills improve, With such improvements, the participants, their families, and their caregivers can avoid or postpone placement into a nursing home or long-term care facility.
